Peppol Commerce v2.0.1
With the development of any software, there are always aspects that can be improved. We remain fully committed to continuing to optimize Peppol Commerce — by fixing imperfections and adding new features.
In our previous update, we integrated, in addition to WooCommerce, FluentCart as an e-commerce solution for WordPress. All functionalities we originally developed for WooCommerce are now also available for this promising new e-commerce plugin.
What exactly has changed in this version?
In this release, we have mainly focused on resolving a number of imperfections. Four of the most important updates are:
- Webshops with prices including VAT
Only for webshops that display prices including VAT, there were some rounding issues and inconsistencies in how VAT rates were shown. These issues have now been fixed in this version. - Shipping costs
Shipping costs were not included in the invoice. This has been resolved, and shipping costs are now correctly included in both the UBL and PDF versions. - Credit Notes
A UBL and PDF document were created in Peppol Commerce, but they were not being sent correctly. This has also been fixed, and credit notes are now automatically and properly transmitted via Peppol. - Invoices or receipts for consumers?
For business customers, sending an invoice is mandatory. However, if your webshop serves both B2B and B2C clients, you can decide whether or not to send a separate invoice to consumers.
If you prefer to work with a daily revenue journal and therefore not send individual invoices to consumers (the WooCommerce or FluentCart “receipt” is, of course, still sent), you can now configure this option directly in Peppol Commerce.
In addition, this version also includes updates related to plugin translations, and it is now possible to allow your webshop customers to download their invoices via a “Download” button.
How can non-Belgian businesses already use Peppol Commerce?
In Belgium, e-invoicing for B2B transactions via Peppol will become mandatory on January 1, 2026. However, that is not yet the case in other countries. Therefore, our plugin offers the ability to disable the automatic sending of electronic invoices through Peppol.
When this option is disabled, e-invoices are not automatically sent via Peppol. As an administrator, you still have the option to send them manually with a single click.
This allows non-Belgian companies to start preparing for e-invoicing through Peppol without having to send all their invoices that way just yet.
Do you have more questions about Peppol Commerce or Peppol in general?
Diggy might be able to help you!
There is often too much information available, making it difficult for users to see the forest for the trees. That’s why it’s often useful to simply get an answer to your question through a Q&A-style format.
And you can now do this directly on our website (bottom right).

Which Peppol myths exist today?
Of course, the introduction of new processes often brings some confusion.
We regularly receive questions about the use of Peppol Commerce, since a company can only use one Peppol solution…
We recently wrote an article about this, but we’d also like to briefly clarify it here in this newsletter.
Specifically:
- As a Belgian company, you are required to be registered on the Peppol network. Even if you don’t have business clients and therefore don’t send e-invoices yourself, you will still receive them from your suppliers. So… registration is mandatory for all Belgian companies.
- You can indeed only register once. Think of it like your business address — you define it once so everyone knows where to send mail. The same principle applies to your Peppol registration: you do it once, and then your specific “address” is registered. This registration is typically done through a Peppol Access Point, often arranged by your accountant. You can also choose to handle it yourself — for example, via Scrada, where you can register and have a mailbox to track your e-invoices.
- Your registration is done only once… but you can send e-invoices through multiple solutions.
Peppol Commerce, for instance, ensures the automatic sending of your e-invoices for online purchases via your webshop. If you also create manual invoices through your accounting software, that’s perfectly fine (you could also do that with Peppol Commerce 🙂). It’s common practice to create separate sales journals in your accounting system so that each “stream” follows its own numbering.
