Peppol Commerce can still be used with the shortcode version in the checkout page.
Replace the block with the shortcode: “[woocommerce_checkout]”
Block checkout #
From version 2.1.0, Peppol Commerce can be used with WooCommerce Block Checkout. Since our plugin creates the VAT field by default, any other plugins that provide a VAT field should be disabled.
Activating the Company field #
By default, the ‘Company’ field is not enabled in the WooCommerce Block Checkout component. Therefore, make sure this field is enabled in the Checkout component.
Orders #
As an admin you see a link to the invoice per order, and you can also download the invoice if necessary.
Important during installation: VAT field and VIES check #
Peppol Commerce VAT field #
When you activate Peppol Commerce, a new VAT field is automatically created. At checkout, the customer can use this field to enter their VAT number. The “Validate VAT” button validates the VAT against the VIES service.
Any existing VAT fields #
To ensure flawless operation of the Peppol Commerce plugin, it is necessary to disable existing VAT field solutions.
Why is this necessary?
- Avoid conflicts: Duplicate fields confuse your customers and can cause errors in the business database.
- Correct e-invoicing: Peppol Commerce needs the data from its own field to generate and send the UBL invoice correctly via the Peppol network.
- Clean checkout: A clear and technically sound checkout often results in a higher conversion rate and less customer frustration.
So make sure you or your website builder remove the old VAT field solutions so our plugin can take over seamlessly. This way, you can be sure your business is ready for the future of digital invoicing.
WooCommerce plugin compatibility #
Peppol Commerce is compatible with Woocommerce Subscriptions plugin.
